“With God in the Green” – in Western Pomerania and with Prominent Guests

What moves me?
What do I want to move?
With these questions in mind, we set off—always in the warm and personal “pilgrim-you.” And right at the start: prominent guests!
Heiko Miraß, State Secretary for Western Pomerania and Eastern Mecklenburg, Monique Wölk, state parliament member from Schwerin, and Thomas Beil from the Greifswald Agricultural Initiative joined us at the start at the Open Chapel.

After a short round of introductions, it was time to pause, let go, bless, and begin.
The path to the hostel “Alter Heuboden” once again revealed what makes pilgrimage in Western Pomerania so special:
Wide open spaces, silence, deserted paths, church towers in the distance, and unforgettable cloudscapes.
Under the old chestnut trees, we enjoyed spelt rolls, cake—and real conversations.
What our guests love here: peace, community, spiritual places.
What defines village life: tolerance, attention to detail, developing ideas together, implementing shared projects. The newest initiative: the “Fruit Trail Jager” with the Greifswald Agricultural Initiative.
My heartfelt concern: well-marked paths, benches, and shelters—for all who travel on foot.
Encouraging: Heiko Miraß is already active in the pilgrim network on Rügen, for example in Swantow with a pilgrim room along the Birgitta Trail.
After the break, we continued—15 km through sun, rain, and many good conversations.
This is pilgrimage. Real. Moving. Connected.
