It’s that time of year again – with a new route, a new theme and the 800-year-old Canticle of the Sun by St Francis of Assisi, which comes to life here in Pomerania too.

Once a month, on Thursdays at 10 am, the pilgrimage walk starts at the ruins of Stolpe Monastery near Anklam. After the ferry crossing, the roughly 8 km route leads through the countryside to Quilow and back. The easy walk takes about 4–5 hours.

Please bring: €5 for the ferry, sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing and a light meal. A pilgrim’s stamp is available.

Along the way, there will be reflections on Francis of Assisi and his Canticle of the Sun – as well as time for silence, nature, fellowship and new encounters with oneself and God.
