Lyrical Easter walk

Spiritual hiking on the Griffin (pilgrim) way

Easter promises us new life, new beginnings, new starts.

And nature also invites us, when the first buds unfurl their splendor and golden rays of sunshine fill our hearts again, to venture out on the old pilgrimage paths.

One idea to bring this feeling to life was to combine literary texts about Easter with a day of pilgrimage on the GreifenWeg.

“Rivers and streams are freed from the ice... Everyone likes to sunbathe today. They celebrate the resurrection of the Lord. For they themselves have risen... Satisfied, young and old rejoice: Here I am human, here I may be.”  With this poem by Goethe, accompanied by the sound of the Bodden, we set off to marvel at the beauty of nature and experience valuable encounters in the community.

Accompanied by birdsong, we read texts and sang our songs.

The worries and melancholy thoughts of everyday life were driven away.

What does Easter mean to me personally?

The path along the gnarled pines and beeches, some of which were overgrown with ivy, gave us the opportunity to listen to ourselves, to feel gratitude and peace.

New texts and old stories became contrasting points of inspiration that accompanied us to the old bridge over the Barthe.

Here, the day also gave us a very special experience when two pairs of eagles sent us their greetings. A truly crowning finale.
